Samira headed to North Carolina earlier this month to attend the NCHID Digital Health Summit where she was on a panel about "Driving Successful Adoption and Usage" of digital health tools. The panel underscored the significance of recognizing and surmounting obstacles that hinder the efficient utilization of healthcare solutions. Speaker narratives, such as Samira's founding of Manta Cares after her personal experience with cancer, drove home the session's emphasis on ensuring accessibility and empathy in healthcare technology. Stories advocating for patients shed light on the essential need for healthcare solutions to tackle real-world challenges, highlighting that authentic innovation should take into account the firsthand experiences of patients.
Per the DHIT newsletter, "Kyle's insight stressed the value of incorporating patient narratives into healthcare discussions, highlighting Samira Daswani's initiative to create interactive tools for cancer patients and caregivers, illustrating the gap between healthcare technology and patient navigational needs. This session revealed the critical role of patient-centric approaches in the successful adoption and usage of health innovations."
Big thank you to the Digital Health Institute for Transformation (DHIT) for including Samira and Manta Cares in this discussion that drives everything we do here at Manta Cares: keeping the patient's experience at the center of our work.
